Pricing, fees, and how you pay
In short
No setup fee, no subscription, no minimums. You pay per parcel, by card: shipping (which already includes fuel, FX and the first-mile label and collection) + duty at cost + destination tax at cost + a small per-parcel customs/tax-handling fee.
Per-parcel price =
- Shipping — by billable weight (Packaging configuration and how billable weight works), destination and service. Get an exact quote at teleship.com/pricing or on any order in the app. UK on-demand rate table (effective 1 May 2026): rate table.
- Duties — calculated from HS code, origin and value; passed through at cost, no mark-up.
- Destination VAT/GST — at the destination rate on the duty-paid value; at cost.
- Tax handling fee(already inside the shipping price shown to you):
- £1 per parcel when Teleship is your IOSS party (EU orders ≤ €150 and you have no IOSS number of your own);
- £4 per parcel when Teleship acts as Merchant of Record (EU orders > €150);
- £1.50 per parcel customs charge for DDP clearance in non-EU markets on Teleship services (US, CA, AU, NZ, SG, HK, UAE, KSA); £5 per parcel on DHL services.
No surcharges after the fact as long as declared weight, dimensions, value, HS code and origin are accurate and the goods are not prohibited. What can be re-billed: billable-weight true-ups when the hub measures a bigger parcel (Billable-weight adjustments after dispatch), the non-machinable surcharge for oversize parcels (Packaging configuration and how billable weight works), and return costs (Returns: costs, what is refunded, EU return labels).
How you pay
- Credit or debit card via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). Buying a label places a hold for the amount; it is captured when the parcel receives its first carrier scan. Cancel the label and the hold is released — no refund to wait for.
- Top-up balance (Settings → Billing): pre-load funds to avoid a card charge per label when bulk-printing; unused balance is refundable.
- Larger accounts: other payment methods (invoicing, direct debit) can be set up — ask hello@teleship.com.
- Invoices and CSV cost reports are self-serve (Invoices, cost reports, top-up balance).
Volume: rates are on-demand from parcel one. Ship more than ~100 international parcels a day, or inject at the hub, and you qualify for contract pricing — hello@teleship.com.
Rates are not locked — Teleship rates move at most about once a month (FX, fuel); DHL rates weekly. See Rate guarantees and how often rates change and Pre-orders, delayed fulfilment, and rate changes for pre-orders.
UK VAT: international transport and the goods you export are zero-rated for UK VAT, so no UK VAT is added to Teleship's shipping charge, and foreign duties and taxes are passed through as disbursements (Invoices, cost reports, top-up balance).
