Switching
What changes when you move from Royal Mail PDDP.
Do I keep using Royal Mail?
Yes, for the first mile, included in the Teleship rates already. Teleship Standard DDP labels are Royal Mail labels to our hub: add them to your collection, schedule a pick-up for free, or drop them at a Post Office. From the hub, Teleship carries the parcel duty-paid to the door.
Can I offer more than one speed?
Yes. PDDP is one postal speed. With Teleship your customer picks at checkout between Teleship Standard DDP (3-8 business days, depending on the country) and DHL Express (1-4 business days), both duty-paid on the same account.
What about the 18-destination limit and the value caps?
Teleship Standard DDP covers 39 markets (the EU, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Switzerland, Israel, Saudi Arabia and the UAE) up to $800 to the US and €1,000 to the EU per shipment; DHL Express covers 224 destinations and higher values on the same duty-paid label. Nothing ships duties unpaid by default.
Who works out the duties?
Teleship does, per product, from its HS code and origin, and shows them at checkout. What your customer pays is what Teleship pays at import; there is no duty bill to reconcile afterwards.
The Teleship guarantee
Whatever we quote your customer at checkout is what you pay.
If customs charges more than we quoted, Teleship absorbs the difference. Your customer never gets a bill, and neither do you.
Quoted at the point of sale
Duty, VAT and the EU €2 fee are worked out per product, from its HS code and origin, before your customer pays.
Billed exactly that
The duties and taxes on your label are the duties and taxes on your statement. No customs surcharge after delivery.
