Billable-weight adjustments after dispatch
In short
Not a penalty — a true-up. Every parcel is measured at the hub and by the carrier; if the measured billable weight (Packaging configuration and how billable weight works) is higher than what you declared, the difference in rate is charged. Adjustments are batched a few times a month and listed under Shipments against the parcel.
- The lowest of the measurements is used, and small tolerances are ignored.
- To avoid them: measure the actual outer box, use real empty weights, assign packages per product, and set a realistic default package for multi-item orders.
- Dispute one: send the TS number and a photo of the parcel on a tape measure/scale before dispatch; we'll check the hub images.
