Restricted items: liquids, batteries, food, cosmetics, CPSC/FDA
In short
Teleship services cannot carry liquids, batteries (including lithium cells in electronics), cosmetics, food or supplements on any lane. DHL services will support some of these categories (liquids, certain batteries) — not yet enabled; ask support before booking. Other items can be restricted by destination: the app surfaces most restrictions when you classify the product and try to buy a label.
- Liquids (perfume, candles with liquid wax, skincare, drinks): no.
- Batteries: no — the network is postal/air-freight without DG capability. Products containing coin cells count.
- Cosmetics, skincare and supplements: regulated in every destination (FDA in the US, CPNP in the EU); not accepted today.
- Food & drink: no.
- Children's products, toys, apparel for under-12s (US, CPSC): allowed only via USPS Postal DDP — CPSC certificates don't apply to postal clearance; commercial clearance (Teleship DDP Tracked) refuses CPSC-flagged HTS codes.
- Country-specific: Saudi Arabia (SABER conformity), UAE (excise), Australia/NZ (biosecurity: wood, seeds, feathers), Canada (some knives, radios). We don't hold every list; when a rate is missing for one product and one country, that's usually why — ask us with the product link.
- Don't reclassify a product to obtain a rate; the restriction exists at customs, not just in our app.
