The commercial invoice (digital, currency, what's on it)

    In short

No printing. Teleship generates the commercial invoice from the order at label purchase and transmits it electronically to the carrier and customs. You can download a PDF from the shipment for your records.

What's on it: exporter (your dispatch address + EORI), importer/declarant, consignee, each line with description, HS code, country of origin, quantity, unit value and currency, shipping charge, Incoterm DDP, IOSS/registration references where applicable.

Currency: line values are declared in the order currency; the shipping line in the currency of your Teleship rate (GBP). Customs converts at their own rate. If a PDF shows mixed or unexpected currencies, or the invoice total doesn't match what the customer paid, send it to support with the order number — a document error and a charge error are separate things and we check both.

Values: what the customer paid for the goods (after discounts, before shipping). Not cost price, not RRP. Free items still need a nominal value and a line.
