    EORI: do I need my own?

    Yes — a GB EORI is a required field at sign-up. Apply free at gov.uk/eori (you need a Government Gateway login; usually issued within a few days). Don't enter Teleship's number, and don't build one from your VAT number — the field is validated.

    • Validation fails? Check for typos (GB + 12 digits, or GB + VAT number + 000), confirm HMRC has activated it (new numbers can take a day or two to propagate), and send support the exact error.
