Ship to Europe from the UK. No EU registrations.

VAT and duty are collected in your checkout and paid with the label. Teleship handles IOSS and customs, and the parcel arrives with nothing to pay at the door.

From the UK. No platform fees: you pay for shipping only.

    EU shipping for UK stores

Every EU parcel pays VAT. Most now pay duty too.

The EU has no VAT threshold: every parcel from the UK pays VAT at the destination country's rate, from 17% to 27%. Since 1 July 2026 parcels under €150 also pay a flat €3 duty per product type (6-digit HS code).

Teleship charges both at checkout, declares the VAT under IOSS so it isn't charged again at the border, and pays the duty at import. The rules for 2026, including the €2 fee from 1 November, are in our EU customs guide.

    VAT at checkout

Charged at the destination country's rate and declared under IOSS, so your customer isn't asked for VAT again on delivery.

    The €3 duty, handled

Parcels under €150 pay €3 per product type. It's in your checkout total automatically and paid by Teleship at import.

    IOSS without registering

Up to €150: use your own IOSS number, or Teleship files under its own for £1 a parcel. Above €150, Teleship acts as Merchant of Record for £4.

    Economy or express

    How it works

From your checkout to an EU doorstep.

    1. Step 1

      Connect your store

Shopify, WooCommerce, ShipStation, Metapack or the API. Integrations.

    2. Step 2

      Check your HS codes

Each distinct 6-digit HS code in a parcel under €150 is a €3 line, so classification sets the duty.

    3. Step 3

Customer pays VAT and duty at checkout

Both are in the price your customer sees, with nothing to pay on delivery.

    4. Step 4

Buy the label, drop it off

Buy a duty-paid label from the order, then use a Post Office or a Royal Mail collection.

Before you ship to the EU

    What to get right.

    Charge VAT on shipping too

Shipping is part of the EU VAT base. Make sure your store charges tax on shipping, or you collect less VAT than is paid.

    Watch your HS codes

Over-detailed classification costs money under the €3 rule: three items with one HS6 code pay €3, three with three codes pay €9.

    Product identifiers from 1 November

EU declarations need product identifiers on every item line. Teleship adds them to every label. EU product identifiers.

    Returns

Return costs and EU return labels are explained in the help centre. The €3 duty isn't refunded on returns. Returns.
