What is Teleship?
Teleship is a cross-border shipping service tailored to eCommerce businesses. Our mission is to enable online retailers to grow internationally, by simplifying your cross-border shipping procedures, catering needs of speed, affordability, and convenience. We deliver your packages swiftly through a network of logistics partners.
Which countries can I ship to using Teleship?
We currently only support UK and US based online retailers shipping to Europe (EU27), the United Kingdom and the United States. More origins and destinations will be made available soon.
What is Teleship End-to-End service?
Teleship offers an end-to-end service, where online retailers can drop-off packages at their nearest post office (or schedule a pick-up) for overnight delivery to Teleship hub. Once packages arrive at Teleship consolidation hub, Teleship takes care of all procedures to deliver packages swiftly to international customers.
What is Teleship Hub Direct service? (no first mile included)
For online retailers that wish to bundle multiple packages to generate additional savings, they can choose the Teleship Hub Direct service when purchasing labels. When selecting the Hub Direct service, shippers need to label each package individually with the generated Teleship label, and overpack all packages in a box that they send to Teleship consolidation hub. For the hub Direct service, the cost of first mile needs to be covered by the shipper.
Some orders do not appear in the Teleship app. Does Teleship have weight/dimensions/value restrictions that prevent me from shipping?
Yes. We currently support packages with dimensions up to 61cmx46cmx46, up to 20kg, and restrict value-based orders by destination as follows: - US: $800 (or currency equivalent) - United Kingdom: $1,000 (or currency equivalent) - EU27: $1,000 (or currency equivalent) Orders that do not fall within these limitations won't be able to check-out.
How do I setup a Teleship account and start shipping my international orders?
Setting up a Teleship account shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes. Install the Teleship app/extension/plugin and follow 5 simple steps. Fill-in company details, fill in details to generate customs documents, and setup billing through Stripe. Once complete, go to Orders and start purchasing labels in two clicks. We generate necessary customs documents digitally in the background.
How do I create labels?
Once you have provided all required informations in Settings, go to "Orders" to purchase labels. You can purchase a label in seconds (in 2 clicks). Follow dispatch instructions on the left of the label.
Once I have generated a label, what do I need to do?
Make sure that the ordered items are packed well, and apply each individual labels on packages. Follow the dispatching instruction in the column on the left of label.
Do I need to print the commercial Invoice?
No, we use the digital commercial invoice generated and you do not need to print it.
What happens once I have shipped?
If you've selected our End-to-End service, your package will be shipped to our consolidation point within 1 business day (ensure to ship before noon for next-day delivery). If you decide to inject it using our Hub Direct service, we will await for your package to arrive to the Teleship consolidation hub. Once packages arrive at the Teleship consolidation hub, packages will be automatically measured, weighted, X-rayed, exported and ship daily to the destination country of your customers. Once arrived at destination, we will conduct import clearance and inject packages into our last mile partners.
How do I track my parcels?
Our service is fully tracked. Go to http://www.teleship.com/tracking to follow the status of your package.
Can I use Teleship to ship personal items to friends and family as gifts?
No. At this time, we only suppport retail businesses and do not support C2C.
Do customers have to pay import VAT and/or duties when receiving their package?
No. Your customers won’t face any VAT, duty, or extra charges at delivery—we handle everything at the import stage.
Will I incur surcharges or additional fees?
No. As long as you provide the correct address, weight, dimensions, values for each package and do not ship prohibited/ restricted commodities (as per Terms of Service), you will not be charged for any surcharges.
Do I need to provide additional information/documentation to ship internationally?
No. At Teleship, our mission is to make international shipping as easy and cost-effective as domestic shipping. The only requirement is for the online retailer to get an EORI number and avoid shipping prohibited items, as defined in terms of service.
I have a problem with my package/order, or an IT problem. How do I contact Teleship?
Whilst we strive to offer the best service, unfortunate exceptions can rarely occur. Reach out to us using the following email: cs@teleship.com We will work on promptly resolving your matter.
EU-specific deliveries: I don't have an IOSS number. Can I still ship with Teleship to EU?
Yes, we will collect import VAT/duties for your orders when you purchase a label from us, and remit VAT on EU import of the package. Make sure that you incorporate VAT costs (17-27% depending on the EU country) in the sales price of your goods on your online shop.
I use another ERP or ship via a 3PL. How do I start shipping with Teleship from our system?
